How We Bring Out Your Musical Strength

pianist 1 e1758317960958

You already have a musical strength — maybe you pick up melodies by ear, read music easily, or memorize quickly. We start with what comes naturally to you, so you feel confident and engaged from your very first lessons.

From there, we’ll help you grow into other areas of musicianship — like learning to keep a steady beat, playing with a relaxed hand position, or adding expression to their playing. This well-rounded approach helps you develop in all aspects of piano, so you become a skilled, confident musician.

Your First Lesson — What to Expect

During the free trial lesson, you will:

  • Meet your teacher and get comfortable at the piano
  • Explore playing simple pieces suited to your experience
  • Learn what a typical lesson looks like — no pressure or commitment
  • Enjoy a relaxed, positive start to your musical journey

No experience needed—just a love for music.

Our Teaching Philosophy

1) Every adult learner has a unique musical strength
As mentioned above, every new pianist has a musical skill that comes easily to them, and is a key to helping build up their musical abilities overall.

2) Every musical problem is surmountable
Whether a tricky group of notes, complex rhythm, or expressive issue, every musical conundrum can be broken down and resolved — and you’ll have help every step of the way.

3) Playing piano should be fun and relaxing
Let’s make it a joyful activity, not a stressful or boring task. What a gift to be able to play music! Practice is not a chore, it’s an opportunity for discovery.
